The kid in the picture
My journey as a photographer started on this mountaintop in Arizona in 1977. I was six years old when PaPa took me climbing for the first time, and when we reached the summit, he got out the old 110 Kodak film camera and took this picture. This is my first memory of a camera, and it's also my favorite memory of time with my Papa. That's what photos are: memories ~ one of our most important and cherished possessions.
The Short Version
Hi! I'm Brian, lover of God and people.
I'm Jamie's man, "SuperDad" to 5 geniuses, and now I'm a PaPa (Pronounced PawPaw) to two beautiful granddaughters.
I love to listen to many different styles and genres of music, and I love many different forms of art.
I'm a John Wayne Junkie and, more than ever, by God's grace, a conqueror of mountains!
Some Favorites
My favorite color is turquoise.
My favorite season is spring, when nature wakes up after a long winter, and everything begins to bloom.
My favorite chick flick is Sabrina with Harrison Ford and Julia Ormond.
My children, grandchildren and sister Chrissy are my favorite artists.
I have always viewed the world as a work of art created by God, and I still love capturing it with a camera.
I shot with film for 25 years and still enjoy using film, but digital photography is my favorite because of the creative freedom it gives.
My Grandchildren laughing, birds singing beside a creek, and crickets singing at night are my favorite sounds in the whole world.
"What it's all about"
Jesus was once asked, "what's most important?" His answer was brief ~ love God and love people.
My goal with everyone I meet is to make them feel loved.

Growing Up
I enjoy spending time in the city, but I grew up in the country, spending more time outdoors than indoors. There were no computers or cell phones, but life was never boring. I lived on dirt roads, hiked through the woods, slept by fires under the stars, fished and swam in lakes, and just enjoyed living. I enjoyed it with a camera in my hands and almost always a friend by my side.
What moves me
By God's grace, I've traveled much in my life and visited some magnificent locations, but there isn't a single photograph of God's creation that has ever moved me the way people do.
My Passion
My love for people and my passion for photography made portrait photography a natural career choice. By nature, I'm an encourager, so I get excited about connecting with people and reminding them of their worth and value. By God's grace, I'm also an artist filled with wonder and joy every time I see my clients in an image we created together. In short, I love you, and I love my job!
Serving You
I have found through the years that people are always more comfortable in front of a camera when they are connected with the person behind it, so connecting with you is my first priority. I'm interested in knowing you and what's on your bucket list! I want to see what you are passionate about and what makes you happy. The result of our connection is your comfort in front of the camera and my freedom behind it to capture a collection of images that are fresh and timeless, reflecting who you are, not just how you look.
Thank you for taking a moment to learn a little about me. Will you return the favor and give me a chance to get to know you?
It doesn't have to be about photography, you can just say, "Hi" and I will respond.
